Lenten Season...

Good Morning and GREAT day to all!

Yesterday February 26, 2009 was "Ash Wednesday" which began the Lenten season.

Lenten season is the time of the year for those of the Christian belief make a sacrifice and give up something we love and is a normal routine in our day to day lives (i.e. eating meat, working out, social activites, sex) for the next 40 days (excluding Sunday's) leading up to Easter Sunday.

The sacrifice we're making for the next 40 days is a symbolic sacrifice as it relates to the ultimate sacrifice Christ made for us by dying on the cross at Calvary for our sins!

Although we're grateful for the GREAT sacrifice, Ash Wednesday is the actual day of mourning for Christians as a result of Jesus having to make that grate sacrifice and die for our sins!

So if you noticed people walking around with a form of Ash in the shape of the cross on their forehead yesterday evening that was the reason why...

Until next time...

Sincerely,
Tru Sinceer
